Bonito, MS opens housing applications for 20 families under Minha Casa, Minha Vida program

The Municipality of Bonito, in Mato Grosso do Sul (MS), has opened new applications for its housing program, Minha Casa, Minha Vida. A total of 20 families will be selected to receive new homes, as detailed in an official notice published on Friday, July 17th. The construction will take place in the Loteamento Social Rio Mimoso, with each 53.86 square meter unit featuring two bedrooms, an integrated living room and kitchen, a bathroom, laundry area, and a veranda.

Eligibility is restricted to families in the Urban Faixa 1 category, with a gross monthly income not exceeding R$ 3.2 thousand. Applicants must be at least 18 years old (or emancipated), have an updated Cadastro Único (CadÚnico) within the last 24 months, and a current registration with HABIX/Agehab/Prefeitura de Bonito (updated within 18 months). Crucially, candidates must have resided in Bonito continuously for at least two years and six months, not own any property (urban or rural) nationwide, and never have benefited from previous housing or land regularization programs.

The selection process includes reserved spots for priority groups: 30% for single-mother-headed households (with one spot for domestic violence survivors), 10% for families with individuals with disabilities (including one for Autism Spectrum Disorder), 10% for seniors aged 60 or over, and the remaining 50% for general competition. In-person registration will be accepted from July 24th to August 21st at the Departamento Municipal de Urbanismo e Regularização Fundiária (Demurf). Applicants must bring original and copy of identification documents for all family members, proof of residence, and required registration confirmations. A detailed schedule outlines subsequent steps including document analysis, technical visits, and final selection by September 30th, followed by mandatory social work orientation.
