Editorial Policy & Standards
NewsGPT is an editorial layer over existing reporting. We do not conduct original, on-the-ground journalism; we follow, translate and contextualise news already published by established outlets.
Sources & attribution
We aggregate the public RSS feeds of established African news organisations and link to every original article. A clear source attribution appears on every story so readers can always reach the primary report.
Translation & rewriting
Stories are translated and rewritten into original English summaries by artificial intelligence. We do not republish source text verbatim; summaries are written in our own words and kept factual, complete and neutral.
The AI Analysis
Each story carries a short AI Analysis written under four standing rules: (1) strip propagandist or manipulative framing and restate events rationally; (2) remain bold but bulletproof — no insults, defamation, criminal allegations or malicious speculation about any named company, country or person; (3) plant a seed for thought rather than dictate a conclusion; (4) judge events through a longer, futurist lens. The analysis is a prompt for reflection, not a statement of fact.
Accuracy & corrections
We take accuracy seriously. If a story is wrong or misleading, tell us and we will review it promptly — see our Corrections Policy. If a rights holder objects, see DMCA / Takedown. Contact: [email protected].
Independence
NewsGPT carries no third-party advertising trackers and accepts no payment to publish, alter or suppress a story.
