Bragança Paulista Unifies Urban Mobility Services in New Centralized Headquarters

Bragança Paulista's Municipal Secretariat of Urban Mobility has inaugurated a new headquarters located at Rua Dr. Tosta, nº 79, in the city's Center. This new facility consolidates various departments, including planning, traffic engineering, enforcement, monitoring, traffic education, and citizen services, into a single location. The move aims to enhance urban mobility management by bringing together technical teams, expanding planning capabilities, and improving the development of public policies for traffic and transportation. A key feature of the new headquarters is the Monitoring Room, which provides real-time oversight of public transportation operations, the traffic light control system, the Zone Azul (rotary parking), and electronic monitoring of major city intersections. This integration is expected to facilitate quicker responses to incidents, improve traffic condition tracking, and boost operational efficiency, thereby increasing safety for drivers, pedestrians, and public transport users. The modern structure includes renovated administrative spaces, updated electrical, hydraulic, and data communication systems, accessibility features, new lighting, security equipment, and improved facilities for staff and public service. The project was funded through urban planning contributions linked to the Teriva Innovare I and II developments, incurring no direct costs to the municipal budget. Public services are available Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, offering a range of traffic and mobility-related assistance, such as processing traffic fine appeals, issuing duplicate notifications, handling driver indications and defense protocols, and facilitating requests for fine conversions to warnings. Additionally, residents can obtain credentials for the elderly and disabled, issue resident cards, register heavy trucks, obtain permits for taxis and school transport, access services for app-based drivers, and arrange for the release of impounded vehicles. The central location, well-served by public transport, enhances accessibility for citizens utilizing the Secretariat's services, ultimately strengthening Bragança Paulista's capacity for traffic planning, enforcement, and monitoring.
