Dentist Allegedly Killed Journalist's Dog After Fatal Stabbing

A dentist, identified as Renata de Almeida Pedreira e Sousa, is accused of fatally stabbing journalist Delson Carlos Henrique de Lima Barros and subsequently killing his dog, Hércules. The alleged incident occurred at Barros's apartment in Goiânia, Brazil, following a dispute over the property's eviction. According to Claudimar Oliveira, Barros's sister-in-law, the dentist killed the beloved dog, and the family is still unaware of the animal's whereabouts. The Public Defender's Office of Goiás, representing the dentist, has declined to comment on the case. The Regional Council of Dentistry of Goiás stated they are monitoring the situation and cooperating with authorities. Oliveira expressed a strong desire for justice, emphasizing that the death of the animal would increase the dentist's penalty, as two cherished beings were lost. The police investigation, led by delegate Vinicius Teles, indicates that Barros was stabbed in the chest during an argument. Márcia Maria Carolli, the dentist's girlfriend, reportedly attempted to intervene and sustained injuries to her shoulder and forearm. Carolli informed the police that the dentist pursued Barros after the altercation, and he collapsed on the fifth floor. Delson Carlos Henrique de Lima Barros was a marketing graduate and had a career as a columnist for various publications, including Diário de Aparecida. His husband, Warley Oliveira, shared Barros's dreams of building a home, continuing his work, and having a child named Benjamin. The journalist's funeral was held in Goiânia, drawing over 250 attendees, and he will be buried at the Vale da Paz Cemetery.
