Explosion and Fire Engulf EVA Factory in Minas Gerais, Injuring Three

A significant fire broke out at an EVA (ethylene-vinyl-acetate) factory in Perdigão, Minas Gerais, on Wednesday afternoon, following an explosion. The incident generated a large, dense cloud of black smoke visible from afar, blanketing the sky over the region. Emergency services, including the Fire Department and the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), responded to the scene. At least three individuals sustained severe burns and were transported to a hospital for treatment; their current health status remains unconfirmed. Firefighters are actively working to control the blaze, which spread rapidly throughout the industrial facility. The presence of chemicals, flammable materials, and fuels complicated firefighting efforts.
