Festival Zero 92 Announces Amazonas Flag-Inspired Fashion Contest with Cash Prize

The second edition of Festival Zero 92, scheduled for July 25th in Manaus, will feature a fashion contest encouraging participants to create outfits inspired by the Amazonas State Flag. This initiative aims to celebrate and promote the region's cultural identity through fashion and creativity. The festival will take place at the Mercado de Origem da Amazônia starting at 5 PM, offering a program that includes music, art, gastronomy, and creative economy activities. General admission to the main area will be free, while access to the "Camarote Caldeira" will require purchasing an official shirt. The fashion competition is a key highlight, with participants expected to design original looks reflecting the colors and elements of the Amazonas flag. The contest seeks to foster creativity and elevate regional fashion as a means of cultural appreciation. The winner of the most creative look will receive a R$600 Pix transfer and a bucket of beer. Musical performances will include artists like Márcia Novo, Água Cristalina, Vanessa Alfaia, and a tribute to Mustafá Said and Abílio Farias by Banda do Municipal. The festival also features the group "Maria Vai com as Outras," Sisi Rolim, Raízes Caboclas, and DJs Evandro Jr. and Raidi Rebello. Notably, the indigenous women's group Suraras do Tapajós from Santarém, Pará, will participate, showcasing the music and ancestral heritage of indigenous peoples and fostering cultural exchange between Amazonas and Pará. Created by singer Márcia Novo, Festival Zero 92 aims to center Amazonian culture in the experience, merging music, art, and urban space utilization. Its first edition in 2025 attracted over 12,000 attendees, establishing it as a platform for local artists. The event is a collaboration between private enterprise, public authorities, and the cultural sector, presented by Samel Planos de Saúde and produced by Acauã Produções e Turismo, with sponsorships and support from various organizations including the Government of Amazonas and the Municipality of Manaus.
