Haniif Sanket's 'Ityadi' magazine show filmed in Laxmipur, Bangladesh

The popular Bangladeshi magazine show 'Ityadi', hosted and directed by Haniif Sanket, has been filmed in the coastal district of Laxmipur. This episode is scheduled to air on Bangladesh Television on Friday, July 31st, after the 8 PM news. 'Ityadi' has a tradition of filming outside the studio in various parts of the country since the 1990s, aiming to showcase local history, heritage, culture, ancient sites, tourism potential, and untold stories from remote regions. The scenic, riverine district of Laxmipur was chosen for this installment, with a special stage built at the historic Nobin Kishore High School, located on the grounds of the century-old Dalal Bazar Zamindar House in Laxmipur Sadar Upazila. The filming attracted a festive atmosphere, with audiences arriving early and filling the venue, with attendees coming from various parts of the district and neighboring areas. The episode features two special songs by local artists: Tanzina Ruma from Laxmipur and Shajia Sultana Putul from Feni, with lyrics by Kabir Bakul and music by Akash Mahmud. Another song, focusing on the district's identity, has lyrics by Moniruzzaman Palash, music by Ujjwal Sinha, and is sung by Tanzina Ruma and Rajib, with choreography by SK Zahid and participation from local dancers. Four audience members were selected through a quiz about Laxmipur and will participate in a skit with renowned actress Dilara Zaman, a native of Laxmipur. A significant highlight will be a special interview with Nishat Majumdar, the first Bangladeshi woman to conquer Mount Everest. She shares her Everest expedition memories and feelings about 'Ityadi' in a lively conversation with a reporter and her grandson. The show also includes humanitarian and informative segments, such as a report on Laxmipur's vast soybean fields, coconut and betel nut groves, and historical sites. An educational report focuses on a local primary school, while a human-interest story follows the struggles of a fisherman displaced by river erosion. The foreign segment will explore the 'Great Ocean Road' in Australia, a scenic coastal highway built by World War I veterans and featuring one of the world's longest war memorials. Additionally, regular segments like 'Letters' and satirical skits addressing social issues and current events will be featured, with performances by a notable cast including Abdul Aziz, Subhashish Bhowmik, and many others.
