Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship 2027-28: 9-Month Program with Monthly Stipend Open for Applications

The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program, a prestigious U.S. government initiative under the Fulbright umbrella, is now accepting applications for the 2027-28 academic year. This 9-month, non-degree program honors the legacy of the late U.S. Senator and Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey, offering talented mid-career professionals and emerging leaders from Bangladesh and other countries a unique opportunity for professional development in the United States. Participants will engage in graduate-level study, leadership development, and networking with U.S. institutions, fostering a deeper understanding of American society and culture. The fellowship aims to build lasting relationships between future leaders and American professionals. Applicants must be Bangladeshi citizens currently residing in Bangladesh, with no dual citizenship or U.S. permanent residency. They should be mid-career professionals in public service with a demonstrated commitment and potential for advancement. A minimum of five years of full-time professional experience post-university is required, with a bachelor's degree obtained at least four years prior to the application deadline. University teachers and academic researchers are generally not eligible unless they have management responsibilities, with an exception for English language instructors. Recent university graduates are not eligible. Previous U.S. study or extended stays may affect eligibility. Proficiency in English is essential, with TOEFL scores required for selected candidates. The fellowship covers full tuition, living expenses, settling-in allowance, accident and sickness coverage, book expenses, a one-time computer allowance, travel expenses, and professional development activities.
