Limeira Electronics Store Robbery: Suspect Arrested, R$30k in Goods Recovered

Security camera footage captured a brazen robbery at an electronics store in Limeira, São Paulo, on Tuesday, November 21st. The armed suspect posed as a customer to gain entry to the store, located on Avenida Doutor Lauro Corrêa da Silva, before announcing the robbery. He then secured the premises and fled with an estimated R$30,000 worth of merchandise, including cell phones, video game consoles, and a notebook. The stolen items included various store cell phones, personal phones belonging to the victims, consoles from inventory, and the establishment's notebook. Following the incident, the Limeira Civil Guard was alerted. Through tracking a stolen cell phone, authorities were able to identify the suspect's vehicle and apprehend him. A portion of the stolen electronics was found in a backpack at his apartment. The suspect confessed to the crime and indicated that the weapon used belonged to an accomplice, who is now under investigation by the Civil Police. Further investigation led officers to a barbershop adjacent to a bar, where another backpack containing some of the stolen goods was discovered. The barbershop owner reported that a customer, who was there for a haircut and shave, fled the scene, leaving the backpack behind. This individual reportedly escaped in a VW Taos, accompanied by another man and a teenager. The apprehended suspect, along with two other individuals found in the car, were taken to the Limeira Central Lockup, and the recovered merchandise was returned to the store owner.
