Man Fatally Shot During Barbecue in Governador Valadares; Police Investigate

Civil Police are investigating the homicide of 25-year-old Samuel Nogueira Barbosa, who was shot and killed on Sunday, August 26th, in the Ipê neighborhood of Governador Valadares. According to Military Police, Barbosa was shot during a barbecue at a residence. Upon arrival, officers found the victim deceased on the street in front of the house, with a trail of blood leading to the property. Investigators observed that the ramp leading to the residence was wet, while the surrounding sidewalk was dry, and bloodstains were visible inside the kitchen through a window. Forensic examination revealed Barbosa sustained two gunshot wounds to his back, with the shots originating from within the kitchen. The crime scene, particularly the kitchen, appeared to have been recently washed, though significant bloodstains were still present. A knife was recovered from the victim's pocket and seized. Authorities also took a woman to the police station, suspected of washing the crime scene. The motive is believed to stem from a prior argument at a bar. No suspects had been arrested as of the latest update, and police are actively searching for those involved in the murder.
