Manaus Education Department Hires 250 More Professionals

The Manaus City Hall has called up an additional 250 candidates approved in the selection process for the Municipal Secretariat of Education (Semed). This brings the total number of hired personnel to 1,576 since the official approval of the competition. Of the newly called professionals, 246 are teachers and four are municipal analysts. The teachers include 100 for grades 1-5, 98 for early childhood education, 30 for physical education, 10 for Portuguese language, three for mathematics, two for English, and one each for arts, religious education, and history. The municipal analysts will fill positions in accounting (2), systems (1), and psychology (1). Semed stated that this action demonstrates the administration's dedication to enhancing public education and strengthening the municipal school network. The Secretary of Education, Arone Bentes, emphasized that these new teachers will play a crucial role in educating the city's children and adolescents, aiming to improve learning outcomes and educational indicators. The official call-up will be published in the Official Gazette of the Municipality (DOM), and candidates are advised to follow Semed's instructions regarding deadlines and document submission for their appointments.
