The Municipality of Montes Claros is actively investing its own resources to enhance urban infrastructure, bringing positive changes to residents across the city and its rural areas. Significant progress is being made in the Village do Lago I neighborhood, where drainage and paving works on Avenida Hum, an extension of Avenida 200, are proceeding rapidly. This avenue, currently characterized by dust, mud, and potholes, is expected to soon provide improved dignity, mobility, and quality of life for the local population. Residents have long struggled with the road's poor condition, particularly during rainy seasons when mud obstructs pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Dry periods bring challenges with dust, negatively impacting respiratory health and overall well-being. Upon completion, these issues will be replaced by substantial improvements. Local merchant Aline da Silva expressed optimism, stating that the paving will significantly benefit her business and the entire community, given the avenue's high traffic volume.
