Neighbors Break Through Wall to Rescue Man Trapped in Paraná House Fire

In Francisco Beltrão, in the southwest of Paraná, Brazil, two neighbors heroically broke through a wall to rescue a man trapped inside his burning home on Friday, November 17th. The dramatic rescue was captured on video, showing the house engulfed in flames. As the fire spread, the neighbors, armed with a hammer and an axe, worked to breach the bathroom wall where the resident was trapped. Social assistant Érick Kulyk was one of the rescuers, recounting how he heard shouts of a house fire while on his way to work. Upon arriving, he discovered a person was trapped inside. Kulyk and another man worked tirelessly to break down the wall, successfully creating an opening just as firefighters arrived. The firefighters were preparing their equipment when they were alerted to the man inside. By the time the fire department entered the residence, the trapped resident had already been extricated by the neighbors. The rescued man received medical attention and was transported to the hospital. Firefighters managed to contain the blaze, preventing it from spreading to neighboring properties. The Civil Police have announced they will open an investigation to determine the circumstances and potential responsibilities related to the fire.
