The municipal education network in Palmas, Brazil, is opening online applications for new student enrollments and transfers starting Monday, July 27. Interested parties will have a five-day window to submit their requests through the SIMPalmas (Sistema Integrado de Matrículas de Palmas) website. This process is for students seeking admission or transfer for the second semester of the 2026 academic year, with the application period running from July 27 to July 31. The actual confirmation of these enrollments will take place between August 3 and August 7. Following this initial period, the Municipal Secretariat of Education of Palmas stated that applications for new students will continue to be accepted throughout the second semester. Classification lists will be published weekly on Mondays and will remain valid for five days. Enrollment requests will be processed in chronological order based on their registration date and time in SIMPalmas. For first-grade elementary school admissions, students must meet age requirements, completing the necessary age by March 31, 2026. For other grades, admission depends on proof of completion of the previous educational level. Required documents for enrollment confirmation include the student's birth certificate, CPF or RG, proof of residence, 3x4 photos, vaccination status declaration, SUS card, guardian's documentation, and a school declaration or transcript for transfer students. Additional documents, such as proof of registration information or a medical report for dietary restrictions, may also be requested.
