Police Investigate AI-Generated Nude Images of Students in Minas Gerais School

The Civil Police in Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais, have opened an investigation into allegations that students at a private school used artificial intelligence to create and share non-consensual nude images of their classmates. The case is currently under seal. According to the complaint filed with authorities, a group of students allegedly created a messaging group to distribute these manipulated images. The AI-generated montages were reportedly created using photographs of the victims. At least 11 adolescents, aged between 14 and 18, are believed to have been targeted. The incident came to light when other students discovered the images and alerted their peers. The school's administration stated that it does not condone any violation of student integrity and has taken immediate action. An internal administrative procedure has been initiated, affected students are receiving support, and those allegedly involved have been temporarily suspended pending the investigation. The institution emphasized its commitment to protecting the privacy of the minors involved, in accordance with the Statute of the Child and Adolescent (ECA).
