Robbers pose as police to tie up and rob couple in Paraná, Brazil

Six armed individuals, posing as police officers, invaded a home in Laranjeiras do Sul, in the central region of Paraná, Brazil, to rob a couple. The incident occurred while the couple was in their bedroom. One perpetrator entered first, announcing himself as a police officer and ordering the victims to lie on the floor. Five other armed individuals then entered the residence. The victims reported to the Military Police (PM) that they were tied up and threatened by the criminals, who repeatedly inquired about drugs, firearms, and the presence of a safe. The robbers remained in the house for approximately three hours. They fled with a car, jewelry, perfumes, a video game console, clothing, and around R$ 200. During their time in the residence, the suspects also fired shots in the backyard and damaged various items, including a laptop and a television. After the suspects escaped, the couple managed to free themselves and, with the assistance of a neighbor, contacted the Military Police. As of the last update, the suspects had not been apprehended, and the stolen items had not been recovered. The Civil Police stated they could not provide further information to avoid compromising the ongoing investigation.
