São José dos Campos, Brazil, is establishing itself as a leader in innovative public education with its "Educação 5.0" (Education 5.0) strategy. This public policy aims to prepare students not just for traditional assessments but for a rapidly changing world by integrating technology, active learning methodologies, comprehensive training, and innovative learning environments. The core of this approach places students at the center of the educational process, fostering creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and student agency.

The municipality's efforts have gained national recognition from the Ministry of Education, which selected São José dos Campos for its "Map of Inspiring Experiences in Integral Education." The chosen practice highlights the "Integrated Projects" developed since 2022, which connect diverse knowledge areas through real-world challenges.
