São Paulo Governor Tarcísio de Freitas Holds 55% Approval Rating in New Poll

A recent poll conducted by Quaest in São Paulo reveals that 55% of voters approve of Governor Tarcísio de Freitas's administration, while 29% disapprove. The survey, commissioned by Genial Investimentos, also indicates that 39% of respondents view the state government's overall evaluation as positive, 35% as regular, and 20% as negative. When asked about potential reelection in 2026, 55% believe Governor Freitas deserves to be reelected, compared to 38% who do not. The poll further breaks down public perception across various sectors. The administration's performance in attracting businesses received a positive rating from 49% of respondents, followed by infrastructure and mobility at 44%, and employment and income at 39%. Public transportation garnered a positive assessment from 35%, housing from 35%, and education from 33%. Areas receiving lower positive ratings include social policies (29%), health (26%), and security (24%). The survey involved 1,650 voters aged 16 and above, conducted between July 23rd and 27th, with a margin of error of 2 percentage points and a 95% confidence level.
