Santa Inês: Quitinete wall collapses, damaging motorcycles and narrowly missing owner

A section of a quitinete wall collapsed in downtown Santa Inês, Brazil, near the intersection of Rua do Sol and Rua da Raposa. The incident occurred in an area undergoing renovation that had been closed for some time, and no one was residing in the quitinete at the time. Four motorcycles parked nearby were struck by the falling debris, and the property owner narrowly avoided being hit. Security camera footage from a nearby gas station captured the moment the wall fell. The owner had been on the sidewalk observing the construction work and managed to escape injury. The damaged motorcycles belonged to employees of the gas station and a barbecue restaurant operating in the same building. Two motorcycles remained largely intact, but one sustained damage to its fairing, handlebars, and other parts. Another suffered scratches from the debris, and according to residents, one motorcycle's chassis was dented by larger stones. The Municipal Guard of Santa Inês responded to the scene to assess the situation. Some debris was cleared from the street to allow passage for vehicles and pedestrians. Residents have been advised to stay away from the area due to the presence of rubble, sharp objects, and the risk of further collapses.
