Scenes of Rural Bangladesh: Harvests, Daily Life, and Nature

Photographs from various locations in Bangladesh on August 2nd and 3rd, 2026, capture diverse aspects of rural life and nature. In Dighee, Manikganj, a colorful butterfly was observed resting on a pumpkin flower. Ashwina and Katimon varieties of mangoes were available at a market in Rangpur, where a seasonal vendor arranged them on a rickshaw van for sale. In Kandebchhara, Rangamati, a woman from the hills cleaned weeds around a papaya tree in her yard. The vibrant petals of a hibiscus flower were admired in Shimujjhechhara, Rangamati. Fishermen were seen casting nets for fish in the Monu River in Moulvibazar during the monsoon season. In Khulna-Satkhira, near the highway, customers inspected wooden boats at a workshop in Patkelghata on August 2nd. A group of people set out in search of livelihood in Chak Sekandar village, Gabtoli, Bogura, on August 3rd. A farmer was busy harvesting jute in the muddy fields of Gabtoli, Bogura. Traditional fishing tools known as 'dara' (diyal) were being sold at the Dhangara market in Rayganj, Sirajganj, for monsoon fishing. Two professional fishermen navigated the Padma River with sails in Dangi, North Channel, Faridpur. Jute, referred to as golden fiber, was being loaded onto trucks after purchase from the Porabari market in Sirajganj.
