Second Suspect Arrested in João Pessoa Businessman's Murder During Robbery Attempt

João Pessoa, Brazil – Authorities have arrested a second suspect in the fatal shooting of a businessman during an attempted robbery at a cell phone store in the José Américo neighborhood. The incident occurred on Thursday, May 2nd, and the first suspect was apprehended the same afternoon. The newly arrested individual, a 32-year-old man known as 'Ninja,' was taken into custody on Monday, May 6th, in the Oitizeiro neighborhood. Police seized clothing worn during the crime from Ninja, and he was identified by two eyewitnesses. He has been transferred to the Civil Police City in João Pessoa. The first suspect's identity was not disclosed, but police also seized the vehicle used by the perpetrators to flee the scene. The car has undergone forensic examination to aid the investigation. The victim, identified as the owner of the cell phone store located on Hilton Souto Maior Avenue, was reportedly armed. According to Delegate Thiago Cavalcanti, the armed suspects entered the commercial building and encountered the victim as they ascended stairs to the store. The owner drew his weapon upon seeing the assailants, but they fired multiple shots, resulting in his death at the scene. The exact number of shots fired could not be determined.
