Students Receive School Uniforms, Former Student Shares Pride

Students at the Meghnapara Dhibar Alor Pathshala in Laxmipur, operated by the Prothom Alo Trust, received their first school uniforms on Sunday, July 5th. A total of 240 students from the Bede community were presented with the new attire, creating a joyful atmosphere. Arif Hossain, a former student from the school's first batch and a member of the Bede community himself, expressed his deep emotions upon seeing a group photo of the uniform distribution. He conveyed his pride in having been a student of the institution, which began with a small dream and has now advanced as Meghnapara Dhibar Alor Pathshala. Witnessing the children's smiles in their new uniforms, he felt their initial small dream was growing larger. Hossain highlighted that the school uniforms and ties gifted by the Prothom Alo Trust represent more than just presents; they are inspirations for confidence, dignity, and a brighter future. He believes education transforms individuals and that this school is teaching children from numerous fisherman families to dream anew, not just academically. He extended heartfelt thanks to the teachers, Meghnapara Trust, Prothom Alo Trust, and everyone involved in this noble initiative, praying for the continued success of the 'light's journey' and envisioning it opening doors to new possibilities for thousands of children. Arif Hossain, the eldest of three brothers, passed the fifth grade from this school before continuing his studies to the seventh grade at Dr. Abdul Haque Adarsha High School. He now serves as the peon and guard at the Meghnapara Dhibar Alor Pathshala.
