Threatening videos emerge between victim's brother and suspect in Aruja businessman's murder

Videos recorded prior to the murder of 31-year-old businessman Vitor Hugo Fabotti Delgado in Aruja, Brazil, reveal exchanges of threats between the victim's brother and the primary suspect in the case. The recordings, released after the homicide, reportedly capture confrontations involving Wanderson de Lima Macedo, Delgado's former business partner and the fugitive suspect. Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Macedo, and the Civil Police are actively searching for him. The videos depict disputes over money, insults, and threats between Macedo and the victim's brother, Otávio Fabotti. Macedo's lawyer, Elton Passos, stated that the videos were sent to family members out of fear for Macedo's safety, alleging that his client was not only denied commissions and betrayed in future business dealings but also targeted for death. The Civil Police are investigating whether this history of conflict is directly linked to the motive for the assassination, with the leading hypothesis pointing to a commercial dispute concerning business conducted in Rio de Janeiro. The conflict reportedly escalated during negotiations for electrical cables rich in copper. According to the defense, a contract was transferred to the victim's company, and subsequent payment changes occurred after the initial material extraction. The agreed-upon commission, initially R$300,000, was allegedly reduced to R$100,000, with no payment made even after renegotiation. Vitor Hugo Fabotti Delgado was fatally shot on July 7th inside his recycling company in an industrial condominium in Aruja. Investigations suggest Macedo met with Delgado, they spoke for approximately 20 minutes, after which Delgado was shot. Despite receiving medical attention, Delgado succumbed to his injuries. The investigation has been concluded by the Aruja Police Department and submitted to the judiciary with a request for the suspect's preventive arrest.
