Three Fatal Traffic Accidents in Alagoas Leave Three Dead

Three individuals, including one woman and two male motorcyclists, lost their lives in separate traffic accidents on Sunday, August 2nd, across various highways in the state of Alagoas, Brazil. The identities of the victims have not been released. In Boca da Mata, located in the Zona da Mata region, a woman was fatally struck by a vehicle on a stretch of the AL-215 highway. According to the Military Police, the driver of the car fled the scene without providing assistance. The victim was with her children at the time of the incident and died at the scene. The children were placed under the care of the Tutelary Council, with no information available regarding their ages or if they sustained injuries. Further west, in Estrela de Alagoas, within the Agreste region, a motorcyclist died after losing control of his bike and colliding with a utility pole in the Ipueiras village. The Forensic Medicine Institute (IML) was called to retrieve the body. In Rio Largo, part of the metropolitan area of Maceió, another motorcyclist was killed when his vehicle collided with a van on Avenida Gustavo Paiva. Teams from the Institute of Criminalistics, the IML, and the Scientific Police conducted an investigation at the accident site in Rio Largo. The Civil Police will be investigating the specific circumstances of this collision.
