Three fugitives wanted for domestic violence, protective order violations, and robbery arrested in Timon

Timon, Maranhão – Civil Police in Maranhão apprehended three fugitives on Sunday, May 12th, in Timon. The individuals were sought by the justice system for offenses including domestic violence, violation of protective court orders, and robbery. Intelligence operations and judicial warrants led to the arrests across different city neighborhoods. One of the apprehended men attempted to evade capture by jumping over residential walls but was ultimately detained. The operation was a joint effort by the 18th Regional Delegation of Timon and the Intelligence and Capture Division (Dicap). The first arrest involved a 19-year-old man in Vila João Reis, investigated for domestic violence and suspected involvement in armed motorcycle thefts. He attempted to flee by jumping over multiple walls and entering a home before being located and apprehended with the assistance of drone footage. The second arrest occurred in the Cidade Nova neighborhood, where a 56-year-old man was detained for violating a protective order. Police records indicate he had been previously arrested three times for offenses related to domestic violence against his ex-partner, including threats, bodily harm, property damage, and insult. The third arrest also took place in Cidade Nova, targeting a 24-year-old man convicted of aggravated robbery. This conviction stemmed from a 2016 incident where he used serious threats to steal a victim's cell phone. Following processing at the Timon Regional Delegation, all three individuals were transferred to the prison system and are awaiting further judicial proceedings.
