Three women arrested for allegedly drugging and robbing two men at a motel in Belo Horizonte

Three women, aged 19, 20, and 26, were arrested on Friday, May 24th, in Sabará, near Belo Horizonte, Brazil, on suspicion of drugging and robbing two men. The victims were identified as a 55-year-old foreign man and a 33-year-old man. According to the Civil Police, at least one of the suspects confessed to participating in the crime after being apprehended at her residence with an accomplice. The incident occurred around 3:30 AM in a motel on Rua Sebastião Afonso Silva. Motel staff reported that the two men entered with the three women, and the women later left the suite, claiming the men had become aggressive. Upon checking the room, staff found one victim unconscious on the bed and the other submerged in hot water in a bathtub. The victim in the bathtub sustained first, second, and third-degree burns and was hospitalized, while the other victim, showing signs of sedation, was taken to a local urgent care unit. The victims reportedly met the suspects at a bar in Belo Horizonte, where they shared drinks. The women allegedly insisted on going to a motel, and the group proceeded there after a stop for hot dogs. Police tracked the app-based car used by the women to leave the motel, leading to the identification and arrest of two suspects. The suspects allegedly used liquid clonazepam in the victims' wine. Recovered items included victims' cell phones, watches, and credit/debit cards. The Civil Police are continuing their investigation.
