Truck Stuck in Pothole Causes Disruption in Mogi das Cruzes

A cargo truck became stuck in a pothole on Augusto de Carvalho Rodrigues dos Anjos street, in the Vila Nova Cintra neighborhood of Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil, on the morning of Tuesday, May 14th. The incident occurred around 9:30 AM when one of the truck's rear wheels became lodged in the asphalt. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The truck remained trapped for approximately three hours before being freed around 12:30 PM with the assistance of another vehicle from the same company. The company stated that the truck sustained no damage. Residents have reportedly requested repairs for the street from the City Hall, citing the presence of other potholes that could lead to further issues for drivers. One resident, Elder Coutinho, mentioned that municipal workers address some potholes but not others if they are not specifically on their work order, leading to delays. Following the incident, locals placed a "caution" sign near the pothole to warn motorists. As of the last update, the Mogi das Cruzes City Hall had not yet responded to inquiries regarding maintenance schedules for the affected street.
