Trucker narrowly avoids being crushed between two trucks in Brazil

A truck driver, Wenyovander Ferreira da Silva, 33, narrowly escaped serious injury last Friday, November 10th, when he was caught between two trucks while assisting a colleague. The incident occurred in the Serra de Campo Novo do Parecis, approximately 400 km from Cuiabá, in Brazil. Ferreira da Silva was helping a fellow driver whose vehicle had broken down, and was in the process of securing a tow strap between the two trucks. The near-fatal event was captured on a head-mounted camera worn by Ferreira da Silva. In the footage, he can be seen between the trucks when someone shouts a warning for him to move. Moments later, one of the trucks reversed and collided with the other, with Ferreira da Silva managing to scramble to safety just before the impact. He recounted that he often stops to help other drivers experiencing difficulties on the road. He explained that he was helping to connect the tow strap when the other driver reversed, and he only escaped because another motorist alerted him. Ferreira da Silva attributed his survival to divine intervention. Following the incident, his own truck also experienced mechanical issues, requiring assistance from other drivers and local farmers.
