Uberlândia Transit Updates: New Express Route and Itinerary Changes at Dona Zulmira Terminal

Uberlândia's public transportation system is introducing significant changes to bus routes serving the Dona Zulmira Terminal, effective Saturday, May 25th. These updates aim to reduce travel times and enhance integration across the city. A key highlight is the new express line, E270, connecting the Dona Zulmira Terminal directly to the Umuarama Terminal without any stops. This express service is expected to cut the journey from approximately one hour to just 20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. The E270 line will operate 54 trips on weekdays, 49 on Saturdays, and 21 on Sundays and holidays. Another new route, I477, will link the Luizote de Freitas and Mansour neighborhoods to the Planalto and Dona Zulmira terminals, with an estimated travel time of 39 minutes between these terminals. This line also improves connections to the Central Terminal, downtown area, Bairro Martins, and the Umuarama Terminal. Several existing routes will see itinerary adjustments to shorten travel durations. For instance, line A722 (Guarani) will operate in a single direction within the neighborhood, saving 9 minutes, while lines A726 (Tocantins), A743 (Taiaman), and A705 (Talismã and Tocantins) will also have their travel times reduced by 7, 4, and 7 minutes respectively due to one-way operations or modified routes. Additionally, line I741 will now serve Jardim Patrícia and offer more frequent services, with an estimated 9-minute commute to Dona Zulmira Terminal. The E710 line, connecting Dona Zulmira and Central terminals, will receive 33 additional weekday trips, extending service until 10 PM, and 30 trips on Saturdays until 6 PM, maintaining its 20-minute estimated travel time. Lines T710 and T711 will also benefit from increased service frequency on weekdays and Saturdays. The Municipal Secretariat of Transit and Transport (Settran) will monitor the initial operation of these changes and make further adjustments if necessary.
