UEMS Offers 360 Online Spots for Language Courses

The State University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UEMS) has opened 360 online course registrations for English, Spanish, French, and Guarani. Applications are open until July 27, with classes commencing on August 1, 2026. These opportunities are available to both UEMS students and the general public, with a minimum age requirement of 15 years. The semester fee is R$425 for the general public and R$345 for UEMS community members (students, staff, and contractors), requiring proof of affiliation. Classes will be conducted entirely online via Google Meet and taught by UEMS's permanent faculty from their Letters programs. The 360 available spots are allocated as follows: 200 for English (10 classes), 80 for Spanish (4 classes), 60 for French (3 classes), and 20 for Guarani (1 class). Course enrollment is contingent on reaching a minimum number of registrations for each class. The cost does not include didactic materials, which must be purchased separately by the student. An optional placement test for those with prior language knowledge, costing R$55, is available for entry into Level 2 courses.
