Woman, 65, Found Dead in Home; Partner Sought in Buenópolis

A 65-year-old woman was discovered deceased in her residence in the Floresta neighborhood of Buenópolis, Minas Gerais, on Sunday morning, October 2nd. The Military Police reported that she sustained injuries from an assault with an unidentified object. Her partner is considered the primary suspect and was being sought by authorities as of the latest update. The police were alerted to the incident around 8:53 AM. Upon arrival, officers secured the scene for the Civil Police's forensic team. The victim's body was subsequently transported to the Forensic Medical Institute in Curvelo. Surveillance footage from the residence captured a man leaving the property in the early morning hours, whom family members identified as the victim's partner. Following the initial investigation, the Military Police launched a search operation, deploying teams to scour local roads, rural areas, and trails based on the suspect's potential escape route. The case has been handed over to the Civil Police for further investigation.
